Join Our Team as a Remote Tax Preparer!

We are excited to invite a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent to join our tax department as a remote, full-time or part-time contract tax preparer from late January to April 2025. While we are not a CPA firm, we operate as a Registered Investment Advisory firm dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. This seasonal contract opportunity is perfect for candidates looking to contribute their expertise during the busy tax season.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and trusts.
Estimate tax liabilities for clients.
Manage workflows and maintain a secure, paperless system for data and tax returns.
Input tax return data using Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax software.
Utilize Thomson Reuters TaxCaddy and SurePrep for efficient tax preparation.
Conduct tax research using Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Edge.
Collaborate closely with the tax team and wealth managers to provide exceptional service to our clients.
Qualifications:

A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent license is required.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing individual income tax returns is required.
Strong technology, research, and organizational skills are essential.
A passion for research and analysis is highly valued.
Confident, poised, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Ultra Tax or Checkpoint tax research is a plus.
Ability to manage creative challenges and meet tight deadlines.
Must have a reliable computer for remote work.
Candidates must reside in the U.S.
