Job Description

I am looking for someone to oversee our 3D modeling team and contribute to new designs for cosplay and 3d printing purposes. Our niche primarily focuses on Star Wars, Halo, and Warhammer cosplay designs.

Duties

- Oversee half a dozen remote modelers, reviewing their submitted work, critiquing, and finding new talent as need arises.
- Ensure submitted work is as topographically accurate to the source material as possible, comparing against references you gather.
- Utilize software such as Blender, ZBrush, 3ds Max, and others to develop high-quality digital files that can be worn and is optimized for cosplay use.
- Prepare and publish files for public release through several different sales channels.
- Ideate new projects for the team to work on based upon their individual skills.
- Participate in occasional video productions, showcasing the digital aspect of our process.
- Stay up-to-date on social trends and in-demand files for our client base.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously enhance modeling skills.

Experience

- The strongest attention to detail is required. Star Wars fans will scrutinize the smallest imperfection on 3d models!
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Blender or ZBrush.
- Experience or comfortability being on camera
- Experience managing a small team and balancing many different projects at once.
- A background in cosplay, prop-making, or related fields will be considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
