The Computing, Environment, and Life Sciences (CELS) Systems Group's primary mission is to operate a computing environment that facilitates the research that is being carried out within the divisions of the Computing, Environment, and Life Sciences directorate. We design, build, and maintain the computing environment, tackle problems, and work with the user community. The mission of the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) is to accelerate major scientific discoveries and engineering breakthroughs for humanity by designing and providing world-leading computing facilities in partnership with the computational science community. We help researchers solve some of the world’s largest and most complex problems with our unique combination of supercomputing resources and expertise. The ideal candidate for this position will work as part of the CELS Cyber Team, participating in ALCF/CELS IT activities related to cybersecurity. This role involves assisting in the implementation of cybersecurity controls and policies, ensuring the organization's security measures are robust and compliant with industry standards. The candidate will be responsible for gathering data for data calls, participating in the implementation of solutions where directed, and providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making processes. Under the guidance of the CELS Management, the candidate will collaborate with CELS Cyber team members on various assigned tasks. The candidate's ability to follow directions, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will be crucial in supporting the ALCF and CELS cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring that all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
