Job Details:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the preconstruction phase of our projects, ensuring our competitive edge in the industry. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in project bidding, project management, construction management, job cost, proposals, draft proposals, prepare estimates, tracking costs, bid process, and commercial roofing construction. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience, you will be given the opportunity to drive the success of our projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects at various stages (conceptual, schematic, design development) to aid in decision making.
2. Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
3. Track and manage job costs, adjust estimates and reconcile with final job costs.
4. Conduct project bidding, prepare and draft proposals, and manage the bid process to ensure that all deadlines are met.
5. Collaborate with project management and construction management teams to develop the best methods and strategies for optimal project outcomes.
6. Utilize your expertise in commercial roofing construction to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
7. Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures for future estimates.
8. Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial roofing construction.
3. Expertise in project bidding, project management, construction management, job cost, proposals, draft proposals, prepare estimates, tracking costs, bid process.
4. Proficient in using estimating software and spreadsheet software.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
8. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to deal with customers and suppliers.
9. Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
