Role Summary:

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to help lead the strategy and development of our Core AI Platform. This role is pivotal in driving the platform that powers Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases across our products, services, and customer touchpoints. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of AI/ML engineers, cloud infrastructure experts, and product teams to deliver scalable, innovative solutions that redefine how customers interact with their vehicles, mobile app, and our broader software ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Own the Core AI Platform Roadmap

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and execution of the centralized AI platform team.
  • Align AI capabilities with business priorities across in-vehicle experiences, customer engagement, energy management, and customer support.

Collaborate Across Domains

  • Partner with domain-specific product teams (e.g., mobile, infotainment, energy, vehicle service, diagnostics) to identify and prioritize high-impact use cases.
  • Facilitate the integration of platform capabilities into user-facing products, ensuring seamless and consistent experiences.

Develop Scalable AI Services

  • Lead efforts to design and deploy reusable APIs, tools, and frameworks that support a variety of use cases, including voice interfaces, recommendation engines, and predictive analytics.
    Champion the development of a platform that balances edge and cloud AI capabilities for optimal performance.

Champion Data and Model Strategy

  • Work with data engineers and scientists to ensure the platform leverages vehicle telemetry, integrations knowledge base, vehicle service, and customer data effectively and ethically.
  • Drive continuous improvement of AI models through scalable data pipelines and feedback loops.

Ensure Privacy and Compliance

  • Collaborate with legal and security teams to ensure AI features comply with global data privacy regulations and established ethical AI guidelines.

Lead Through Influence

  • Demonstrate cutting-edge generative AI capabilities through developing a robust R&D pipeline.
  • Drive alignment across diverse teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to deliver on the AI platform’s goals.
  • Represent the AI platform’s vision and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in roles focused on AI/ML platforms, cloud infrastructure, or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and launching scalable platform products that support multiple downstream teams or use cases.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including Generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), recommendation systems, and edge/cloud inference.
  • Experience building production grade applications using modern AI Agent frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, and AI model lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional ability to align cross-functional teams around a shared vision and execute against ambitious goals.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value and vice versa.
  • Passion for building solutions that enhance customer experiences across diverse touchpoints.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Founder experience and mindset.
  • Experience with automotive, mobility, or direct-to-consumer products.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and tools.
Pay Disclosure:

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $213,000 - $266,000 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
