Job Description

We're looking for people who live with purpose and passion, who bring that drive into their work and personal lives. It's not about having the same passions; it's about having that inner spark to make life better, and we want to work alongside people like you.

At our company, we believe you can have it all — do meaningful work while having the flexibility to pursue your personal passions. We value dedication and focus, but also know that life's bigger than just work. When we need to be ON, we're all in. And when we're OFF, we take the time to recharge and chase what matters most to us.

We are a fully remote web development company based in the U.S., with a tight-knit team of talented professionals dedicated to creating exceptional software and digital solutions. With a small team supporting custom Laravel applications and helping e-commerce businesses thrive through WordPress and WooCommerce, we work hard and care deeply about what we create.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced web developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will work on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. You will collaborate closely with a team of designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your primary focus will be enhancing WordPress and WooCommerce stores, ensuring these small businesses get the attention and technical expertise they need to scale.

This is a W2 position, offering flexible hours (30-40 hours per week, depending on availability and skill level).

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the development team to plan and implement new features and improvements
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Test, debug, and troubleshoot software to ensure it runs smoothly
Provide accurate estimates for project timelines and tasks
Address high-priority issues in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends, technologies, and best practices
Assist with the maintenance and support of existing software solutions
Communicate regularly with team members, project managers, and clients
Participate in client meetings during the discovery phase of projects
Ensure proper version control and documentation through GitHub and Jira
Escalate issues as necessary to the Development Lead or Project Manager

Requirements:

4+ years of experience as a web developer
2+ years of experience developing and maintaining WordPress and/or WooCommerce plugins and themes
Strong backend development experience
Expertise in WooCommerce
Experience with Laravel is a plus
Proficiency in PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, Webpack, and Git
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
Comfortable using version control tools like Git
Ability to work fully remote in a cloud environment, with experience using GitHub, GitHub Codespaces, and Docker
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus
U.S.-based applicants only (currently not accepting candidates from New York)

Benefits:

$40-50 per hour, based on experience and skill level
Benefits and PTO stipend
401(k) with employer matching after 90 days
Flexible work schedule
Fully remote work environment

Work-Life Balance & Flexibility:
Does a 5-hour workday sound appealing to you? Or maybe you're interested in a 4-day workweek without needing to catch up late at night? We're open to offering unconventional flexibility because we believe in providing a work schedule that suits you, making sure you're empowered to bring your best to both work and life. We've found that offering flexibility allows our team members to truly thrive, balancing their personal passions while delivering great results when they are working.
Employment Type: Contractor
